Nice guys from MS had suggested a workaround, which seems to be working. So in the next 3.5.24.0 build, the RDP viewer will work under Vista.

New Version new problems... I installed Vista RC-2 x86 and I tired to install SmartVNC. No problem with installation. After installation when the smartVNC starts it creates an exception on registration page continue makes smartVNC to work as trial. From the menu I tired to re-run registration page again and same exception happened.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

It seems that you are trying to install 3.5.22.0, which is not compatible with Vista. Could you try to install the latest 3.5.24.0?

Actually, I tried the last one first. After it created the same exception, I decided to try older version first to see if it works on that. Here is the last version exception information:

From the stack trace it looks like a third-party SSH module fails to load. I hope this is not something caused by changes in the RC2. We tested the latest build with Vista v5728 and there is no such error. We will download and install the RC2 today and check if the bug is reproducible.

For your information, I have installed RC-2 three different servers and all of them had the same issue. I still have a month to go on trial

The problem is reproducible here too. I wonder what else will be broken in the next public Vista build, which is supposed to be the RTM one

We will investigate the issue ASAP.
