i'm in the process of evaluating your product using the latest beta (4.0.2.0) available.

i noticed that the "navigation tree" can not be hidden completely, using the "x"-button
just hides the task-buttons and changes the layout style.

also the tool-bars (main toolbar, dynamic search folders, etc.) do not remember their position and state (e.g. detached & visible vs. completely hidden).

using the "user interface style" standard the "my registered computers" header is shaded blueish instead of a nice and neutral gray...

have a look at the following screen-shots where i pointed out the problems above:

John,
thank you for the feedback!

i noticed that the "navigation tree" can not be hidden completely, using the "x"-button

This behaviour is by design. There is not much point to hide the left view completely, unless perhaps, you only use one computer groups and do not use dynamic search folders. From what we see in our conversations with the customers and when looking at their configuration files, this is almost never the case. But maybe there is some use case that we are missing and I would appreciate if you could explain why you want to have this command.

also the tool-bars (main toolbar, dynamic search folders, etc.) do not remember their position and state (e.g. detached & visible vs. completely hidden).

From what I see running the v4.0.2, the toolbars do remember their docking column and state, but don't remember location and visibility. The later two will be fixed when the v4.0 releases.

using the "user interface style" standard the "my registered computers" header is shaded blueish instead of a nice and neutral

Fixed in upcoming v4.0.3.

Kindest Regards,

i had another look and it was indeed possible to hide the navigation-tree completely in the
pre-4.x releases. for managing a smaller number of computers (~30-40) there is no real need to group and the navigation-pane occupies quite some screen-space otherwise usable for the column-view of per computer information...
