I really like the VNC Manager Program but...... I need some help getting it to work. I am not able to connect to all of the computers that I need to connect to. I am using UltraVNC. What do I need to do to make it work.

| Most probably you have to configure something on a server side, or it might a routing issue. VNC Manager doesn't require any special configuration to connect to VNC server. Are you getting any errors when trying to connect to an UltraVNC server?

| Failed to connect to server. Is the message I get. Out of 14 computers I can connect to about 7. I have reinstalled VNC and it still does not work. Some of the computers do not show up on the scan and some I cannot connect to the VNC. Thanks for your help.

| Just to make sure that this is not a VNC Manager's issue try to use telnet to establish test connection to a VNC server. open cmd.exe and type: telnet IP_OF_PC_WITH_VNC_SERVER 5900 If everything is OK and it's possible to establish connection to the server you will see RFB XXX.XXX text.

I got it to work by going into the Windows XP firewall settings and giving Ultra VNC exceptions. I had to do this on the clients and the manager computer. It works great
