Here is the deal. We need some kind of linkage between a web browser and your SmartCode VNC Manager STD edition. We should make some kind of A HREF link on a webpage in MSIE or FireFox and when the user clicks on it, it will load up the SmartCode VNC and load the IP, default port and default password and to make it even better start it off in 'view 'nly mode'. I am thinking if you make your own protocol such as vnc://computer:5800 so that we can port the web browser to open all links with the vnc:// into your app....then get a handler for your application. You can even add vncd://computer:5800 where it will use the default settings. Now how cool would that be. And if maybe we could do a vnct://computer:5800 to add it to thumbnails view too that would be nice.

I wrote a webpage that shows all our computers in computer labs with the details of who is logged in currently and in the past. I then have it linked that when we click on it, it loads the http vnc built into TightVNC...but it has to load a java piece and then we put in the username/password. If you could make it launch your app that would be great.

That's rather interesting idea. While I don't think that there are many customers, would be interested in such idea, it's still worth considering for future releases.
Thanks!

Meanwhile, you can implement such feature using our ViewerX control. But you have to have a license for the control, which might not fit in your budget.

Maybe some basic command line options might work... something like /c ComputerName: Port /f

/c for the computer and

/f for full screen

Maybe we can look into adding the ideas of your web page.  What does your web page exactly show?  Maybe those features can be added to a future release of VNC Manager

this sounds like a good idea.
